I wrote this that very day...
It Rained in March
(who knows what April’s got?)

(who knows what April’s got?)

Let go of the moment and it will never come back
Hold what you have too tight and it is sure to escape
Things change every second, you just can’t take charge
Could you believe it rained today, yes, it rained in March!
Below a million light bulbs, when your lashes shut
You hope for a miracle, you may want it real bad, but
If you know that’s what you need, getting through is tough
For if you can name your miracle, is it a miracle just enough?
Time takes you for a ride, makes your plans a joke
You may laugh over it till you like or weep until you choke!
And you ride and ride to reach your home but when it’s not so far
And when the comforts are well in sight you end up with a broken car!
Let me tell you a story about a guy I call myself
He was in search of a pillow, a trophy, a shelter to be safe
He had everything he desired for, across the stretch of an arm
But the distance seemed too far to him and he heard a panic alarm!
His friend told him he’s made a choice, he is not here to choose
Thinking over it, he saw his empty hands and he had nothing to loose
He smiled and he saw no targets, no goals, no canvas – nothing to beat
I can’t tell you how things went further, damn it, the story is incomplete…
Now there’s space for miracles but the wait for them is done
For the ticking clock takes care of life and all under the bloody sun
Yeah, sure there is space for miracles but then this is the time to play
And something will come up as time slips slow and did I say it rained today?
Now a state of semi-surrender is here
There is no time left to shed another tear
Laugh, giggle, smile. And chill ‘coz life is large!
And anything can happen in April dude, did I say It Rained in March?

Talking of the rain connection reminds me of someone I know very well...
Dedicated to you, Sak. My favouritest writer!
